Graveyard Shift

by Laura Stamps

“Living with you is like living in a graveyard.” That’s what I said to my husband the day I told him I wanted a divorce. He had asked me why I would ever want to leave anyone as wonderful as him, and that was my answer. He was speechless. I think I short-circuited some of his brain cells. Before his mind could reboot, I said, “Okay then,” and walked out the door.
