Accidently saved someone’s life. A young man jumped in front of the 07:41, but I grabbed his arm, jolting him back to the platform. Bought him a coffee; chatted until his mum collected him, causing me to be late for the office briefing, but at least others were not delayed. Woman at the next station had a heart attack; the quick action of the doctor who boarded the 07:41, unobstructed from suicide attempts, kept her alive until the ambulance arrived. Heard this morning the jumper hung himself. Left a note; apologising for his late meeting with death, but circumstances beyond his control had caused him to miss the train.
