The sound moved around my house as I listened from my bed; louder as it traveled towards the window and quieter as it disappeared around back. It was like a tetherball wrapping around a pole, the noise spinning around and around making a buzzing sound in my head. My heart pounding in my ears as I forced my feet to carry me to the window to inspect this strange noise, to see if I could catch a glimpse of what I could hear, as I pulled the curtains apart. I listened for that split second that it took the sound to wrap back around to the front, as it stopped before me now like a hummingbird hovering in front of the window, looking at me as I examined it; a glowing green ball of light like I had never seen before. I moved closer to the window, my eyes fixed, my breathing paralyzed; in the next second the glass shattered as my room lit up throwing me to the floor. I stood up and looked in the mirror to see a pair of eyes looking back at me, a green that I had seen only once minutes earlier through my window, now with a hum in my head that only moments before wrapped around my house.
