Uncle Kurt is 75 today; we, his family and old friends, are throwing him a birthday party. He blows out the candles and takes stock of his life. His hair is white as snow and exceedingly thin, the old nose has grown double its size, the ears are like a woolly mammoth’s. Worse, his bones are brittle and his muscle tone is down to nil minus. All in all, not much to brag about. Except for a recent development: his morality has greatly improved in the last couple of years.
