Just Bunny

They called him into the office the Monday after Easter, offered him a carrot muffin and a juice box, and then gently explained he was being “reassigned.” Something about performance metrics, delivery inefficiencies, and an unfortunate incident involving jelly beans and a hot tub in Boise. From now on, he’d be "Just Bunny," a seasonal consultant for spring-themed events and part-time mascot for a garden center in Des Moines. At first, he moped—hiding in bushes, sighing dramatically, and watching Watership Down on repeat. But eventually, he leaned in, started a bunny blog (“Hop to It”), got a TikTok following, and taught yoga to squirrels. Turns out, not being The Easter Bunny was the best thing that ever happened to him.
