To protect the children, they banned the books, but the children kept reading them, repeating the words and laughing at the funny colorful pictures, turning the pages gleefully. To protect the children, they took the books away from them. They emptied the libraries, boarded up the doors and windows, wrapping the small buildings in yellow tape. Then they burned the books. The children tried to stop them. They burned them too.
