I am her proud foster mother. Her singing genes from her father did not drown in alcohol like him, courtesy of our love, values, and upbringing. She is our own but not ours, for we gave her away to my brother who could not have children back then, and we had three. She sings like a dream, she gets it from me. I am blessed that I have four parents, four siblings, some don’t even have one parent. But sometimes I wonder if the two are just the same, that maybe I have everyone, but belong to no one.
