A Casualty of Progress

Do you want to know why this restaurant is empty? This used to be a classic, greasy spoon, all-American kind of diner. Until last year, when the health inspector came in and nearly shut the place down. They had to replace their kitchen equipment, clean all the grease off the walls, replace the ventilation. Now, for some reason, the food just doesn't taste as good. People really wanted it to stay the same, but they couldn't recreate the taste.
