Lola

Her name was Lola, but she was far from a showgirl. On the weekends, she liked to put glitter around her eyes. In fact, she would put on all the makeup in the house. She would put on records of Richard Pryor routines, turn on the oven, drink Bloody Marys, and just laugh, laugh, laugh. She would have thought him attractive and she would have pursued him, but drugs scared her and she didn’t want to lose her job. However, she knew the laughing would eventually send her down the bank and into the river.

Heather Calomese lives in Oak Park, IL. She is still a little upset that her friends wouldn't go to a Sugarcubes concert with her in 7th grade and called her a weirdo. More than anything, she likes the smell of hotel pools.
