by Lisi Tribble Russell
I was married to God, a big and liquid fellow, a shapeshifter at heart. His six arms enfolded me in a bliss-ridden puddle of oozy warmth, his mouth full of electricity. He grew bored easily and would mess about with stars, hurling them angrily down corridors of inky blue, leaving black holes in the walls. I barely escaped with my life. I don’t regret our union of pastry and bloody arrows. The day-to-day surprises keep coming; he promises to write.
