I stood in line and waited. He said, “Hello, thank you, and goodbye.” No time to tell him of my years of constant admiration, or my scrapbook of endless dreams. No chance to convince him that I am all he needs. But, just for a second, he looked at me; a hint of recognition for our love, I do believe. He signed his name and turned away - the other fans must never know, you see.
