He has held previous posts in poetry as National Poetry Month coordinator for the Academy of American Poets and as critic for GrowlerPoetry.org, a website dedicated to the reviewing of first books. He holds a MFA in creative writing from Bennington College and his chapbook, The Cut Worm, won Bright Hill Press's 2006 chapbook award.
