Don't speak too much, even though you have much to say. Don't smile too broad, too frequently, despite your heart blasting like a piston, and your legs swaying beneath your butterfly stomach. Don't think too far ahead, more than this moment and this sentence, and that mutual smile. Don't assume, don't read signals, don't make mental plans. Don't call too soon or text too much. Don't listen to yourself, lose all trust in your gut, because last time listening to that voice got you nowhere, except missing her.
