i can never do anything right

by kristina

when i was in third grade, my teacher gave the class a task to write our autobiographies. though my classmates and i had only started forming memories a few years prior, i remember being frustrated at the mediocrity of the "events" i had lived thus far and the general lack of newsworthy "information" to write about. i fancied myself a power ranger instead, the red one. then i illustrated my life story with hi-liters. ms gestwicki wasn't exactly thrilled with the direction i took with the assignment, but she did admit it was a good story. and my mom really liked it.
