A Voyage to the Far Beyond

They're flying closer to our ship now, hovering, as if waiting for the perfect moment to strike. The bat-whales land on our ship with a flap of those nightmarish wings. They seem real-friendly like, asking if I want to barter for their maps, but my crew and I decide that they are too much of a threat. I proceed to strangle them (the whales, not my crew) with nothing more than my canteen and brute force. As commander of this ship, I've got to maintain order, and those blasted whales certainly weren't helping. Winged whales simply don't belong on a voyage to the Far Beyond.
