Fringe Benefits

by Ravi Mangla

The women's bathroom in the office had a sofa, so the men demanded they get a sofa also. They demanded they be able to bring their sons in on Take Your Daughter to Work Day. The women wanted to huddle around the water cooler; they wanted the computers that didn't freeze unexpectedly. The men wanted dispensers in the bathroom, but nothing womanly, how about... a gumball machine. And the women wanted to graze their counterpart's bodies in passing to see how they liked it: they liked it just fine. In the end, everyone was laid off.
