Pretending to Work on a Saturday

by Clueless Cat

I sit here on a Saturday, waiting for inspiration to strike while slaving away at an article about Catholic wedding traditions. Confession: I've been "working" on it for three full workdays, and I'm still not done. Instead, I spend my time blogging, online (window) shopping, and daydreaming about what I would do if I weren't trapped in this job and office, or confined by time and space. If I could be anywhere in the world right now, I would be sitting in my boyfriend's bedroom in New York, hanging out, doing Sudoku, listening to music, drinking beer and occasionally taking a hit from his pipe. Then when the mood strikes, we would fall into bed and discover new paths to pleasure, before falling asleep wrapped up in each other. In reality, though, I still have to write a thousand uninspired words before I can call it a day and start my "real" weekend.
