Heaven

by Taylor Murray

"Take me there," and so he did. He grabbed her hand and pulled her tight against his chest and just like that they were high above the bright city. They soared through the atmosphere until they broke through the heavens and lay together in the blue-green halo of almost space. They lay among the silken stars and danced along the Milky Way. They drifted along as space itself flowed into the Fountain of Time. She didn't even dare to wonder how because as the cosmos swirled past them and their hearts beat in time with the universe and the stars made their tangled limbs glow softly, she was free.
